MSS-The HR People has been supporting SMEs for over 35 years, in all matters HR, including recruitment, HR solutions and advice, representation in negotiations, WRC/labour Court, and on Joint Labour Committees.



We have an exciting vacancy in our Industrial Relations and Advocacy division for an Employee Relations Executive who will be responsible for supporting our clients in matters relating to HR and Employment Law on a day to day basis.



This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who is interested in furthering their career in Industrial Relations and HR by experiencing a broad range of HR activity which will complement or enhance their IR/HR career to date.



Primary Responsibilities


  • Provide advice on Industrial Relations/Human Resource/Employment Law issues.
  • Provide guidance on employer policies and practice to ensure they reflect legal and best practice standards.
  • Prepare submissions and represent clients at third party meetings and hearings, including WRC Conciliation or Adjudications, and Labour Court hearings.
  • Provide support and representation in union/company negotiations.
  • Research and contribute to articles for publication, as required.
  • Support and participate in in-person and on-line HR and Employment Law training and webinars to clients.
  • Meeting and maintaining relationships with clients and identifying additional/new service opportunities which will of benefit to clients.
  • Conduct impartial investigations, disciplinary and appeal hearings for clients.
  • Liaise with media sources in relation to legal matters as requested.



Person Specification


Qualifications


  • A Degree, preferably in Employment Law/Industrial Relations/ Human Resources.
  • Employment Law/IR/HR experience or at least 5 years of relevant workplace experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Employment Law and its application in the workplace.
  • Industrial Relations and Human Resource experience


Experience


  • Making presentations to third parties
  • People management
  • Working with others in resolving disputes
  • Experience of WRC / Labour Court or similar
  • Working in a team environment
  • Industrial Relations Experience desirable
